    About bahaiprayers.org

"Intone, O My servant, the verses of God that have been received by thee, as intoned by them who have drawn nigh unto Him, that the sweetness of thy melody may kindle thine own soul, and attract the hearts of all men.
Whoso reciteth, in the privacy of his chamber, the verses revealed by God, the scattering angels of the Almighty shall scatter abroad the fragrance of the words uttered by his mouth, and shall cause the heart of every righteous man to throb.
Though he may, at first, remain unaware of its effect, yet the virtue of the grace vouchsafed unto him must needs sooner or later exercise its influence upon his soul.
Thus have the mysteries of the Revelation of God been decreed by virtue of the Will of Him Who is the Source of power and wisdom." Bahá'u'lláh

T he Bahá'í Prayers web site was created as a celebration of the beauty of the Bahá'í scriptures.  Recent work has focused on serving both the English-speaking and international communities.  Please visit the Languages page for links to many non-English versions of the Bahá'í Prayers.

Prayers for the English language version of the site are primarily taken from the 2002 edition of Bahá'í Prayers, a wonderful compilation of prayers found in every Bahá'í home.  Several other Bahá'í scriptures are also quoted on the site, especially Prayers and Meditations by Bahá'u'lláh.  Please see the Text Credits for complete publishing, usage and copyright information.

Prayers in the Hiri Motu language of Papua New Guinea are courtesy of the National Spiritual Assembly of Papua New Guinea.

Prayers in the Hawai'ian language are courtesy of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Hawai'ian Islands.

Please see the Image Credits for photograph Copyrights.

The headings under which prayers appear ("Healing", "Teaching", etc.) are primarily those found in Bahá'í Prayers, with some additional categories added to help shape the growing site.  These classifications serve only to organize the texts for easier reference, and should not be regarded as scripture.

If you wish to obtain your own Bahá'í prayer book, inexpensive copies are available from Amazon.com, directly from the Bahá'í Distribution Service at (800) 999-9019, or from the Bahá'í friends in your community.

This website is kindly sponsored by the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Shoreline, Washington (USA).
